Malus transitoria

A particularly elegant small, spreading tree with deeply and narrowly lobed leaves, covered in May with fragrant creamy white blossom. Beautiful in its golden yellow autumn colour with the multitude of tiny, round, pea sized yellow fruit. One of the very finest crabs, this graceful delight from NW China is highly regarded by those in the know. Easy and fully hardy in most soils in a sunny or semi-shaded site.
