Aesculus indica ‘Sydney Pearce’

This selected form of the species was raised at Kew in 1928 and has a tendency for better flowers and more of them. A large tree, but not as big as the common Horse Chestnut, with far more refined foliage and much later, tall slim candles of pink-flushed, white flowers in June/July. Easy virtually anywhere, but at its very best with a little shelter from others.
