A 1995 Compton D'Arcy and Rix collection from the Hanyuan Pass, Sichuan, China. A most attractive deciduous species with very narrow, finely toothed foliage and pale yellow flowers in spring. A fine foliage plant to 2m tall, with long lasting scarlet autumn colour. Easy, hardy. Sun or semi-shade.
