Cephalaria transsylvanica

From the sunny meadows of Southeastern Europe and Turkey, this fast growing annual or short lived perennial pollinator magnet bears scabious-like creamy-white or occasionally lilac flushed flowers from July to September on many long wiry leafless branches above the lower feathery foliage, giving a very ethereal, airy effect when grown en-masse. This should self sow in well drained soil in a sunny position and should also do so in poor grassland, etc. Drought tolerant. 1.2 to 2m tall, depending on soil quality and moisture.
