Crambe maritima

A native coastal brassica with the most wonderful undulating, pale blue-green foliage that emerges as tightly bunched and crinkled, fat, purple heads in spring. Large rounded clusters of white flowers follow. This enjoys good drainage and can even be grown in pure crushed rock or shingle, like some of my plants here. A much desired unusual vegetable.
