Daphne laureola subsp. philippi

A dwarf Pyrenean form of our native evergreen Daphne, shrunken in all its parts, making a little hummock of a shrub with glossy leathery leaves. Tolerating the deepest shade, it is happier and better looking in brighter conditions and suitable for a raised bed or rock garden in sun or semi-shade also. Dense clusters of tiny fragrant yellow-green flowers borne in Feb/Mar at the top of the stems. Any free drained soil.
