Dennstaedtia glauca

New to cultivation in the UK, this Andean fern, uncommon in the wild, produces dense patches of upright, heavily dissected quadripinnate, lance-shaped, bright green fronds to approx 1m tall. Sterile fronds are quite different to the heavily plumose 3D fertile fronds which stand erect. Drought tolerant, this inhabits sunny sites in the wild and has a spreading rootstock. Exceptionally attractive.
