Roy Lancaster's original introduction and one of the very finest forms. Large inflorescences of mauve and white spurred flowers in spring over heavily purple-red mottled new foliage. A mature plant has splendid presence, with its substantial, relatively horizontally held evergreen foliage. Height to 40cm. Partial shade and humus rich soil.
