Hedychium coccineum ‘Kachin Fire’

From Northern Kachin State, Burma, this richly coloured form of the variable H. coccineum, named and released here at Pan Global Plants, bears dense heads of bright-orange flowers emerging from particularly nice, dark, red tinted bracts. Bold slim slightly grey-green ladder-like foliage with a paler mid-rib. Try it outside in a warm sunny spot, as it is most likely perfectly hardy in the ground, especially with a good winter mulch.
