Hedychium coccineum ‘Kachin Fire’

From Northern Kachin State, Burma, this richly coloured form of the variable H. coccineum bears dense heads of bright-orange flowers emerging from particularly nice, dark, red tinted bracts. Bold slim slightly grey-green ladder-like foliage with a paler mid-rib. Try it outside in a warm sunny spot, as it is most likely perfectly hardy in the ground, especially with a good winter mulch.
