Tetrapanax papyrifer

A stunning foliage plant, quite unlike anything else growable in the UK. Huge leaves, half a metre or more across are felted and deeply lobed, on very long stalks. Potentially up to 3m high or more. Easy in a mild garden though fairly hardy inland if sited in a very sheltered corner. Regenerates from the roots if cut back by a cold winter.
