Ulmus parvifolia

An elegant, graceful looking Elm with a rounded head of branches, forming a medium-sized tree. The small, rich-green, glossy foliage is held fresh until the New Year. The bark can be very fine in older specimens, flaking off in irregular patches to show grey-brown, grey and tawny-orange. Suitable for virtually any soil or site, this species is very resistant to Dutch Elm Disease, though is rarely seen or offered for sale.
