Acanthus mollis ‘Wofford Rhubarb’

New to the UK, this selected form of Bear's Breeches from an old garden in the SE USA is most distinct in its rich-red rhubarb-esque leaf petioles. Classic big broad glossy green leaves and spires of soft mauve and white flowers on stems to 2m high. Sun or shade, even dry if you like; it can cope with most situations. Very heat tolerant.
