Aucuba japonica f. longifolia

So much easier on the eye than those nasty yellow speckled types, this naturally occurring form of an extremely tough Japanese evergreen shrub has long narrow foliage creating a very pleasing effect. Tolerant of dark and dry positions, it is also happy living it up in semi-shade and better soil. A rounded shrub to about 2m high. Attractive scarlet fruit are borne on females if pollinated.
