Beautiful apple-blossom white-pink flowers in spring. Highly attractive bristly, deciduous leaves grow to a comparatively large size, and with moisture are huge, turning red in autumn. Height to 30cm. Sun or semi-shade and shelter. One of the very finest species, from the Himalaya.
