Betula ‘Polar Bear’

Thought to be a hybrid of B. ermanii, this shares that species attractive heavy branching habit and excellent rich-yellow autumn colour, but with pure white bark. Easy, hardy, fast growing and tolerant, becoming a medium sized tree. Tough and easy, this is very fine as a group of three (or more), either well spaced or together in the same planting pit to make a multi-stem specimen, or just fine as a loner.
