Boehmeria sieboldiana

For foliage fans everywhere, this is another of the non-stinging nettle relatives grown purely for its excellent foliar qualities. A tall, hardy, tightly clump-forming perennial with shiny, deeply and intricately veined ovate foliage with serrated edges. Stems reach approximately 1.8m in sun or semi-shade. Best not overly dry.
