Boehmeria sp. ex Dixter

A rather magnificent giant leaved species of False-nettle grown by Great Dixter, but without a name. Similar in many ways to my 'Kyushu Rikishi' from Japan, this has huge, rich-green rounded foliage, with jagged serrations and prominent drip-tips, though rougher to the touch. Making a multistemmed clump and flowering in autumn with slim pipe-cleaneresque inflorescences from the upper axils. For semi to full shade and not too overly dry soil. Apparently hardy in the ground.
