Cercis canadensis var. mexicana NJM 09.024

My own collection from Cerro Potosi, NE Mexico, of this rare southern variant of an otherwise very widespread North American species. The foliage is an unusual grey-green and with a slightly undulating margin. The two-tone pink and palest white-pink flowers are produced in abundance in spring. A completely hardy small tree for full sun and well drained soil.
