Cornus kousa ‘Blue Shadow’

An American selection, picked out for the larger than usual glossy, blue-green foliage, which is less obvious in early season. The white bracted flowers are abundant and long lasting from June, followed by red fruit in late-summer/autumn, when the leaves turn to rich shades of red and purple. A large deciduous shrub to about 3m, for most soils in sun or semi-shade, but not thin chalk.
