Cupressus austrotibetica KR 5528

Collected originally in Tibet from trees to 60m tall with huge girths and spire-like crowns, this is exceptionally rare in cultivation though grows well as far north as Howick Hall, Northumberland, at least. Similar in appearance to C. cashmeriana in many ways, with pendulous sprays of highly attractive blue-grey foliage, this will not achieve a giant size in cultivation in the UK.
