Cupressus sempervirens Stricta Group

The common or garden Italian Cypress, loved for its very narrow fastigiate, conical form and the 'Mediterranean look' it creates. A perfectly hardy medium sized tree for a sunny site and reasonably drained soil, acid or alkaline. Perfectly suited to long, hot, dry summers, but very happy with wetter ones too, with reasonable drainage. This is grown in all parts of the UK.
