A species from China, introduced by E.H. Wilson, making a hardy deciduous shrub up to about 2m, with leaves grey beneath. The dense clusters of large white flowers completely cover the plant in May and June. Any ordinary site or soil. This particular collection was from 2900m in Yunnan, China.
