Dichroa daimingshanensis Guiz 48

An evergreen Hydrangea relative, much smaller growing than the true D. febrifuga, with leaves half the size, making a low grow shrub. Heads of flowers in summer and autumn, white in bud, opening pale lilac, blue or pink, depending on acidity, with darker sexual bits. Rich-blue fruits follow. Probably best in milder areas. Originally collected in Guizhou Province, S China in 1985.
