Digitalis ferruginea ex N Greece (‘The Golden Greek’)

Self-seeding short-lived evergreen perennial foxglove with particularly beautiful, tall, straight, very narrow spires of densely set, hooded, apricot-yellow flowers, brown netted in their throats; particularly yellow in this form from N. Greece. Dark-green leaves are glossy and narrow. Flowering over a long period in summer. Sun or part shade in well drained soil. Extremely drought tolerant in full sun and very poor soils, but happy in better conditions also.
