Dryopteris koidzumiana

Some times regarded as a variety of D. erythrosora, this is indeed similar, but better! From Japan, this is one of the finest garden ferns, being tough, vigorous, evergreen and extremely colourful. New fronds emerge in gorgeous shades of orange, pink-copper and bronze in spring and summer, turning glossy-green. Bi-pinnate fronds reach about 60cm high and are less obviously triangular than D. erythrosora. Any reasonable soil in shade to semi-shade, not overly dry.
