Epimedium grandiflorum ‘Yubae’ (syn. ‘Crimson Queen’/’Red Beauty’)

Very deep-pink spurred flowers in spring over bronzed young foliage, turning green. Height 30cm. Part shade and humus-rich neutral to acid soil, not too dry. A deciduous species from Japan, Korea and southern China. Like many old Japanese selections, this has picked up various alternative English names in cultivation in the West.
