Euphorbia ceratocarpa

An evergreen perennial spurge from Sicily and S. Italy with stems to 1.2m high, making a rounded sub-shrub 1.5m broad. Large rounded heads of acid-yellow flowers are mainly seen late spring to autumn, but in mild winters they can be produced for an almost non-stop period. Slim greyish-green narrow foliage on pinky-red tinted stems. Underrated and underutilised, this is a tough, drought tolerant species for sun and well drained soil. Hardy to around -10c.
