Festucopsis serpentini

A distinct endemic rarity from Albania where it inhabits very well drained positions and is highly tolerant of drought. Making a low mound of very fine filigree green to glaucous foliage about 10cm high, with upright and then arching flower stems, topped by showy, pendulous, spiky, greeny-cream flower heads in summer. Height 40cm. For full sun and a well drained position, this would be especially effective on a raised bed, on top of a retaining wall, to the side of steps etc.
