Ficus carica ‘Brown Turkey’

A classic edible Fig, and in this form, one of the most commonly planted and reliable of its type. Striking, big, bold, deeply lobed foliage, a joy in itself, with big juicy, sweet, purple-brown fruit in late summer. Very hardy, and perfect as a free standing specimen across much of the UK, but will fruit more prolifically against a wall, especially in poor soil, or with restricted roots.
