Frangula alnus ‘Aspleniifolia’

The Alder buckthorn is normally a rather dull native large deciduous shrub or even small tree, but in this form it is transformed into a thing of beauty. Foliage is reduced to thread like whisps a mere 3 to 5mm wide, making a very fine foliage plant, especially in autumn when they turn an excellent deep yellow. Tough and easy.
