A rarely grown hardy, drought and heat tolerant Mediterranean grass from the mountains of Albania and Greece, found in rocky grasslands, scrub and open xerophilous woodlands. A clump forming evergreen species with slightly slivery-green convolute foliage, producing upright-arching cream flower heads in early summer, to about 60cm high. For well drained soil in full sun. Hardy. Perfectly suited to a drying and warming UK climate.
