A more upright, very floriferous broad leaved form of the species named by Roy Lancaster. A large vigorous evergreen shrub or small tree of conical habit, especially when young, smothered in starry white flowers in Jul/Aug and best with at least some shelter in cold areas. In flower when most things aren't, Hoheria like a sunny position in any reasonable soil. This represents the var. ovata (though no one else seems to have noticed) and has broader foliage than most H. sexstylosa.
