Hydrangea involucrata ‘Viridescens’

A remarkable form, originally found wild growing on the island of Yakushima, Japan. It is just like an ordinary involucrata, but the sterile florets are pale-green, creating a most unusual and attractive effect with the violet-blue fertile flowers. A shrub to about 1m. Any reasonable soil.
