Ilex yunnanensis

Rarely available, this small-leaved evergreen Chinese species makes a medium to large bushy shrub eventually with glossy green foliage, resembling a Buxus more than a typical holly, much like I. crenata, but with more leathery foliage and with masses of small, conspicuous, bright red fruit on females. A neat, cheerful, hardy shrub for most soils, which could also be used as a Box replacement.
