A very hardy garden plant with silvery new foliage in spring, turning pale grey-green, with pale yellow flowers in September. Makes a good clump to 50cm high if moist and semi-shaded and if very moist it will spread fairly vigorously. Here it has remained a tight clump for years in rather too dry conditions. Introduced by Michael Wickenden some years ago, this went around for a few years as 'Impatiens from China'. For decent soil in shade/semi-shade, never too dry.
