Laserpitium siler

An under-known and underused yet splendid umbellifer from Central and Southern Europe, bearing rather rounded large umbels of white flowers in mid to late summer. A tough plant, this is used to growing in rocky well drained positions, though is also happy enjoying an easier life. Attractive grey-green bipinnate foliage composed of masses of narrow oblong leaflets. A truly excellent perennial, combining drought tolerance with handsome foliage and large flower heads that float above on wiry stems.
