Lindera aff. pulcherrima NJM 13.047

Related to and with a resemblance to that quintessentially Asian Lauraceous genus, Neolitsea, this makes a large evergreen shrub or small tree in nature, where we found it at over 2000m alt in NE India. The relatively small evergreen ovate leaves are glaucous beneath and distinctly veined above, emerging a handsome soft red-bronze. A foliage shrub for a sheltered place, probably long term hardy only in the milder coastal districts or other mild areas such as London, other inner cities etc. Previously sold as Litsea sp.
