Lithocarpus edulis

An evergreen oak relative from Japan introduced over 150 yrs ago but very rarely seen in gardens or offered for sale. Handsome, bold foliage and often producing clusters of acorns. New shoots emerge an attractive cream-khaki shade. Makes a broad large shrub or small tree, best with some shelter, but grows in an open site near here.
