Lonicera hildebrandiana

Giant Burmese Honeysuckle. A truly astounding species from SW China, Burma and Thailand, and the biggest in every way in the genus. Clusters of huge flowers in summer, individually up to 15cm long, creamy-white turning through yellow to mango, and coincidentally, deliciously scented, especially in the evening and into the night. Big glossy evergreen foliage and vigorous growth. Fabulous. Only growable long term outside in our mildest areas, like coastal or central London etc, though survives many mild modern winters in sheltered locations elsewhere between cold winters.
