Magnolia ‘Sweet Valentine’
Goblet shaped flowers of an intense red-purple, palest pink within. One of the new generation of hybrids from Vance Hooper in New Zealand, from a cross between 'Sweet Simplicity' and 'Black Tulip', made in the late 1990's. Makes a compact very small tree or large shrub to about 3m, with flowers from a very young age; often flowering in a pot on the nursery.
