Magnolia x loebneri ‘Merrill’

Somewhat similar to a white stellata, but with broader and fewer tepals to the fragrant flowers, giving a more substantial look. Makes a large shrub or small tree eventually, but flowering from a very early age, in early spring on the bare branches. Excellent on most soils, even chalk.
