A Japanese dwarf species, making very low mounds of evergreen, narrow, linear, curly green foliage. Palest lavender-white flowers on short spikes in summer, followed by electric blue fruit. Essential ground cover in many Japanese gardens. Hardy. Sun or shade. Previously sold as O. chingii.
