Osmunda regalis from Monchique

Collected in the Algarve at altitude, this has a hint of 'Purpurascens' in it. A big upright imposing fern for a permanently moist or wet site, happy in full sun. Croziers variably purple tinted in spring, turning matt-green in summer with a hint of purple in the stalks, then buttery-yellow in autumn. Can form short trunks given time. Ht 120cm.
