A modern selection of this excellent, reliable, non-invasive species with particularly fat, deep-red spikes of flower over a long late summer season, from Aug to Oct. Makes a weed smothering wide clump to 70cm high. One of the finest recent forms. For sun or semi-shade - not too bone dry, though really rather tolerant.
