Pileostegia viburnoides

A highly neglected Far Eastern evergreen climber with handsomely held dark green, glossy, simple foliage setting off the frothy panicles of creamy-white flowers in late summer/autumn. The new foliage can be bright red tinted on emergence. Easy and floriferous, if a little slow growing, on virtually all soils in sun or shade. Can reach 6m on a suitable wall or tree trunk, but is easy to keep much smaller.
