One of the most desired of all Solomon's Seals, due to the combination of purple-pink tinted stems; the colour bleeding into the leaves, and slender, elegant, potentially evergreen foliage. The little urn-like red-tinted green flowers hang in clusters of up to three per leaf axil along the stems in spring, turning to red fruit. Hardy. Height 40cm, for a shaded spot, best with wind shelter to promote leaf retention over winter. Originally found on Pu Ta Leng mountain, N. Vietnam.
