Quercus galeanensis

A very rare endangered species endemic of NE Mexico, where it inhabits just two subpopulations. A hardy, shrubby evergreen species reaching 1 to 2.5m tall in habitat (though will be larger here), with narrow foliage, mainly oblong elliptic, subtly toothed. Very drought tolerant, this is highly suited to hot dry summers once established, though will no doubt lap up wetter summers if reasonably drained and may possibly just be perfectly happy in clay too. Extremely rarely available in the UK.
