An evergreen Oak with a very wide distribution, from the Himalaya to the Far East, but rarely seen over here. It forms a bushy small tree with elegant finely toothed leaves, pointed at the tip, potentially red when expanding, turning deep-green and glossy above, slightly glaucous beneath. Perfectly hardy.
