Most probably never known/recorded before, these are the result of UK produced seed of the dwarf Mexican evergreen Q. greggii being pollinated with the most common likely contender, Q. robur. The foliage is rather like a smaller Q. robur leaf with evergreen to semi-evergreen tendencies and the growth so far is really rather strong, which might indicate hybrid vigour. A potentially very interesting hybrid for our warming and drying future, bringing drought and heat tolerance from Q. greggii and ecosystem compatibility from Q. robur. A small to medium sized tree??
