This evergreen oak from NE Mexico has proven hardy over many years in the UK, forming a vigorous medium size tree so far, with the most striking, hard, glossy dark-green leaves, very prominently and deeply veined and up to 25cm long by 8cm wide, emerging reddish and downy on new growth.
